Chris Howley out in the local area

Meet Chris Howley

Chris is a qualified accountant and now he works training accountants.

He lives in LS16 and was born and raised in North Leeds.

He has qualified as a pilot and Rugby League referee. In his spare time, he plays classical guitar and is an active member of a local church. He also sat on the board of Leeds Playhouse.

He was our area’s councillor between 2019 and 2023. He fought off the original Lawnswood Roundabout plan which would have seen it turned into an Amercan-style intersection.

He helped to secure funding for new play areas, defibrillators and to help local groups and organisations.

Chris' Priorities

Chris has worked in the Leeds Central and Headingley community for years and is prioritising working on...

Helping people
When Chris was a councillor, he helped huge numbers of people with their problems.

Stop the waste
Labour have wasted nearly £25 million on a local road scheme that will increase congestion.

Better public transport
Chris wants this money spent on more bus services.
