The evenings are getting longer, and TV isn't what it used to be! Why not break the mould and spend an evening with like-minded members of Haringey Liberal Democrats?

Over coming months we'll be out weekday evenings - as well as weekends - preparing for the local elections in April 2026, and having social events and political chats too.

SO escape the depressing politics on the TV news, AND do your bit for Liberal Democracy right now... START LOCALLY!

Join us in Fortis Green this Thursday evening (15 May), where the canvassing team will initially be meeting outside The Village Green pub at 6:00pm before heading off to speak with local residents about their priorities for the area.

We will be then be returning to The Village Green for our very informal Pint & Politics social meetup from around 7.30pm. Just sign up above!

Ada Salter Walking Tour

Join former MEP Cllr Irina von Wiese and Cllr Rachel Bentley on an Ada Salter walking tour of Rotherhithe and Bermondsey. The tour will be curated and led by qualified guide Ulla Thiessen and highlight Ada’s remarkable impact as a pioneering female social reformer on the local area.

We anticipate the tour will last for about 90 minutes and wrap up at The Angel Pub on the Thames.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome. Dress comfortably.

Meeting point: Canada Water Station, 6pm on Friday May 16th.

Pizza and Politics

On Friday 16 May we would like to invite Young Liberal Democrats, interested party members and supporters to a Pizza and Politics evening.

In these days of crazy and dreadful news it seems a good time to meet up and relax  with similarly concerned people and put the world to rights.

Join us at a member's home in BR1 from 7pm onwards, where pizzas, snacks and soft drinks will be served. The location is close to several public transport links and plenty of parking, and will be shared with those who register.

The event is free to attend, so please do sign-up if you would like to come.

An evening of politics with Joshua Reynolds MP will be held at Staines Methodist Hall on the 16th of May at 7pm. All members and supporters welcome. Josh is our youngest MP and won Theresa May's former seat of Maidenhead in a stunning upset. Josh is an experienced campaigner and was a councillor and cabinet member before becoming an MP. Entry is free, refreshments will be provided.

- Slashed the Tory majority in half in Harpenden South West. 

Across Hertfordshire...

- Ended almost 30 years of Conservative control of Hertfordshire County
