Stop the Closure of Grove Road

The council is proposing to permanently block Grove Rd between Monkbridge Rd and Grove Lane. This will have a huge impact on residents in the local areaas well as those from further afield needing to access Meanwood. The closure will result in residents living off Monkbridge Rd and beyond making detours through already congested areas. Residents living off Meanwood Rd are already experiencing higher levels of rat running which will only get worse if these changes go ahead.

We are calling on the council to immediately halt these plans and actively consider alternative ways of managing traffic safely around the Meanwood area
