The Outer North West Area Committee has agreed to fund this year's Christmas lights which will go around the green in Rawdon.

The Christmas tree is also to be relocated to a more prominent location at the request of local residents.

Councillor Brian Cleasby (Lib Dem, Horsforth), a resident of Rawdon said:

"These lights and the Christmas tree that we have each year opposite the Emmott Arms are most welcome, anything that will brighten up the area and make it seasonal must be celebrated."
