Lib Dems Welcome Councillor Back after Court Finds Her Innocent

Verdict of Not Guilty welcomed by colleagues ………..

Cllr Linda Rhodes-Clayton (Lib Dem, Hyde Park & Woodhouse) said "I am pleased with the verdict and while I have always maintained my innocence this has been a stressful time so I have been grateful for the support of colleagues from all parties during this difficult period.

"I am now looking forward to returning to the Lib Dem Group and working alongside my colleagues to provide local people in Hyde Park and Woodhouse with a voice to represent them at the Civic Hall."

Cllr Martin Hamilton, Lib Dem Chief Whip said "The Liberal Democrat Group is glad that after seven months this case has finally come to a close. Under our rules we had no choice but to automatically suspend her from the Group but now she has been cleared of all the accusations we are very pleased to welcome her back."
