East Leeds primary school top of the class12.10.00pm GMT Wed 26th Sep 2007 Burmantofts councillor Ralph Pryke has praised the hard work and dedication of staff and pupils at Shakespeare Primary after the school received a glowing Ofsted report. Cllr Ralph Pryke (Lib Dem, Burmantofts & Richmond Hill) said, "After just a year in the new build the school has made great progress. This Ofsted report is further evidence that given the right learning environment and support pupils from all backgrounds can achieve. "A huge amount of credit must go to the headteacher Julian Gorton and his staff. Not only have they put the Shakespeare Primary on the map for the right reasons, they have given people here in East Leeds something positive to shout about."
