The Leeds Girls' High School Action Group (LGHAG) has been given grant of £985 by the north west inner area committee to help with running costs.

Cllr James Monaghan (Lib Dem, Headingley) chair of the north west inner area committee said, "The LGHAG provide a useful service to the local community by keeping residents informed of developments with the former girls' high school site.

"This grant will allow the LGHAG to produce newsletters and posters as well as helping with expenses such as such as postage, printing and paper.

"The north west inner area committee are committed to keeping the local people in the loop with developments with the former girls' high school site. The grant to the LGHAG is one of the practical steps we have taken to ensure this happens."
