Statement from Leeds Lib Dem Leader on social care report4.29.19pm GMT Wed 10th Jan 2007 The Commission For Social Care Inspection has issued a report criticising government policy on social care. Councillor Mark Harris, leader of the Liberal Democrat Group on Leeds City Council said: "This is yet another voice adding to the chorus of criticism of the government's policy on social care. "Councils are being forced to concentrate care on the neediest residents, when there are many more who could and should be benefiting from social services. "The government needs to start properly funding social care to meet the needs and expectations of the people of Leeds and across the country."
